Utah Spider Control

The Spiders in Utah are some of the most dangerous and ruthless household pests.

They linger in dark corners and building an endless array of web and crawl through the smallest cracks to make themselves at home in your house. Spider bites and infestation can wreak havoc on your home and family—and once they start spawning their numbers become harder to exterminate.

Spider Control

Common house spiders are rampant in Utah homes but some spiders have a bigger bite: in fact, the Black Widow and Hobo spider have a venomous poison that can sometimes prove deadly. Therefore, keeping your house spider proof is one of the best ways to protect your home and family.

Let Beeline Pest Control survey your property and examine the extent of your spider problems. We will tell you the types of spiders you are dealing with and choose the best method to rid your home of them.

Common Spider Facts:

Shape and Size: Most spiders are in the range of one to two inches long and typically cylindrical in shape. Their bodies are divided into the cephalothoraxes and abdomen and they contain 8 legs. This classifies them as arachnids and not insects.

Environment: Spiders vary when it comes to their preferred environment. Some like a warm and humid corner to nest in while others prefer dry, hot areas. One thing most indoor spiders have in common is that they hide in dark spots.

Activity: Many spiders are able to remain elusive during the day. If it wasn't for their web spinning they might go undetected. They wait patiently for other insects to fall into their well-placed traps and feed on their prey.

Food: Spiders wait for their prey to get caught in their web and then inject them with venom. Their prey then liquefies and is eaten. They prefer to eat only those insects that are found in their chosen environment.

Reproduction: Most female spiders produce small brown egg sacks that contain around 150-250 eggs. They can produce up to 17 egg sacks in a lifetime—spawning around 4000 spiders in the process. Just one female spider can lead to a large infestation.

Venom: Most spiders in North America are not highly venomous and usually don't bite unless they are provoked by humans. Some spiders however, such as the Black Widow, Brown Recluse, and Hobo Spider have very poisonous bites and they tend to be aggressive arachnids. Their bites can cause severe pain, lead to the loss of the damaged skin, and in severe cases lead to death.

Don't wait for a large spider infestation or a painfully venomous bite to occur before having your home inspected. Utah is home to a large number of arachnids that could take over quickly. Get in touch with Beeline Pest Control today for an estimate.
